The 4th Annual Coats For Our Community drive is off to a good start with Old Man Winter finally arriving in Searcy County. A great need for warm coats during the cold winter months was recognized by Debra Clemmons, former council member and the founder of COATS,  in 2013. The yearly project has continued with a great response and it is the continued goal of keeping our community warm that makes this effort so necessary. The expression of giving and receiving is a joy to see. Your donations of good and clean children and adult coats off ALL sizes can be made at Marshall City Hall where the donated coats are hanging to be chosen from MON -FRI 8-4:30. A big THANK YOU is said to everyone who has already given and to those who are willing to become involved in supporting our community with this cause. You do make a difference.
